About This Product

Product Overview

Neelansh equipment & machines is a salient manufacturer, supplier & exporter of Hospital lockers which is used for storing things. Hospitals and other medical facilities, in order to meet their unique storage needs, require lockers for their examination rooms, treatment rooms, operation theatres, patient wards, patient rooms and other areas. These lockers help medical professionals, patients and the patient attendants to organise their supplies of different types under lock & key. In addition to our standard designs and models, we produce lockers as per individual requirements of dimensions, size, shape, design, features, etc. We use high grade, tested and certified materials.

Guide

What are hospital lockers and why do hospitals need them?

Hospital lockers are lockable compartments where staff, patients and attendants keep personal belongings and supplies. They serve two purposes: security, so valuables, phones, bags and documents are safe, and infection control, so outdoor clothing and personal items are kept apart from clinical areas.

Most hospitals ask staff to change out of their own clothes into uniforms or scrubs when they arrive. Lockers in the staff change rooms hold those clothes and belongings during the shift. In wards and patient rooms, lockers give patients and their attendants a safe place for belongings, and in examination and treatment rooms they keep supplies under lock and key.

Like other hospital furniture, lockers are cleaned often, so they should have smooth surfaces that stand up to detergents and disinfectants. Ventilation slots or perforated doors help stop damp clothes and shoes causing odour, and the lock should suit how the locker is used: a key for a locker assigned to one person, or a code where lockers are shared between shifts.

Choosing between the two materials comes down to how the locker is cleaned. Stainless steel has no coating to chip or scratch, so it stands up best to daily disinfection and wet cleaning; SS 316 resists chlorides and stronger disinfectants better than SS 304. Powder-coated mild steel is strong and costs less, and is a good choice where the locker is wiped down rather than washed. If a coating is chipped, touch it up so the steel underneath does not rust.

Plan the number of lockers around the busiest overlap of shifts, when staff arriving and leaving both need a locker, and leave room for new staff. Full-height compartments hold coats and bags, while banks of smaller compartments hold phones, wallets and documents in less space. Numbering each compartment makes lockers easy to assign and check, and a spare key or master key policy saves time when a key is lost.

Our hospital lockers are made in SS 304 or SS 316 stainless steel, or in powder-coated high-grade mild steel. They are sturdy, durable and easy to maintain. Besides our standard designs and models, we make lockers to your dimensions, size, shape, design and features.
