What is the purpose of a cross-over bench in a cleanroom?
It separates the outer side of the change room from the clean side. People sit on it, change their footwear and swing each foot over to the clean side, so shoes worn outside never touch the clean floor.
Which cross-over bench type should I choose?
An open type suits simple footwear changes. Choose the compartment type if each person needs a place for their own items, or the type with lockable lids if some items must be stored securely.
Can you make customized size table?

What is the difference between stainless steel and mild steel?
Stainless steel will not rust while mild steel will. But we are applying powder coating process for preventing from rusting in mild steel.
Why does a visual inspection table have black and white backgrounds?
Light-coloured particles and fibres are easiest to see against black, and dark particles and specks against white. Checking each unit against both backgrounds catches defects that one background alone would miss.
How bright is the light on your visual inspection table?
The LED light with hood gives 2,000 lux at the inspection zone. Pharmacopoeial manual inspection of injections uses 2,000 to 3,750 lux, so tell us the level your procedure specifies when you send your requirement.
Do you provide sinks in 316 grade stainless steel?
Yes, we are manufacturing sink units in 316 grade stainless steel.
Can I get a sensor tap on an SS sink unit?
Yes. We make sink units with sensor taps for hands-free washing, as well as manual taps and TC fittings.
What is a table with sink unit?
A stainless steel worktop with a built-in sink and backsplash, three lockable cabinets underneath and adjustable SS legs, so parts can be washed and set down at one station.
How much maximum height can we get in die punch cabinet?
We have tried and tested Die punch cabinet to make them ideal height which suits you. By research we have found 1500 mm height is ideal height. We have supplied 1800 mm height cabinets. However let us know we can try to adjust the dimensions which suits your needs.
Which tooling types do your die punch cabinets hold?
B, BB and D tablet tooling. Each set holds one upper punch, one lower punch and one die, and we make designs for 30, 40 and 50 sets.
What locking options are available?
A centralised locking system for the whole cabinet, or an individual lock on each drawer with two keys.
What is the difference between a shoe locker and a storage locker?
A shoe locker has many small compartments with ventilated doors for footwear. A storage locker has larger compartments for personal belongings and clothing. Both are made in SS 304 or SS 316 with lockable compartments.
How many compartments can a locker have?
As many as your change room needs. We build lockers to the number of users, compartment size and wall space you have, including 8-compartment lockers with shoe racks and 20-compartment personal lockers.
Are your chairs and stools suitable for cleanroom environments?

Which grade of stainless steel are you using?

Can I get a height-adjustable SS chair?
Yes. Our SS swivel chair has a height-adjustable gas lift and a five-star base on swivel castors, and our revolving stool also has adjustable height.
Should a cleanroom chair have castors or fixed legs?
Fixed legs with nylon bushes keep the chair in place and protect the floor. Castors let an operator move between workstations. Choose castors suited to your floor and cleanroom grade.
What maximum height can we get in a step ladder?
It will depend upon area and location. We have supplied over 2400 mm height. We will try to achieve best fit in your requirements.
Do you provide step ladders in 316 grade stainless steel?
Yes, we are manufacturing step ladders in 316 grade stainless steel.
What is a heavy-duty step ladder?
A taller ladder with a top platform, side rails and heavy-duty swivel castors, so operators can move it between machines and stand safely at height with both hands free.
Why are the steps dimpled?
Raised dimples on the steps give grip, including on wet floors and with cleanroom footwear, which makes climbing safer.
How can we prevent scratches through wheels?
We are providing high quality Polyurethane wheel which are mostly used in cleanroom facilities.
Can we get two bucket/container type mopping trolley?
Yes, we are providing this type of mopping trolley.
What is the three-bucket mopping method?
One bucket holds fresh cleaning or disinfectant solution, one holds rinse water and one collects the dirty water squeezed out of the mop. The mop is rinsed and squeezed before it goes back into the fresh solution, so the solution stays clean and dirt is not spread across the floor.
Can I get the mopping trolley in SS 316?
Yes. SS 304 is standard and SS 316 is available on request. SS 316 is the better choice where strong disinfectants are used every day, because it resists pitting better.
Should cleanroom racks have perforated shelves?
In classified rooms with downward airflow, perforated shelves let filtered air and dust pass through instead of collecting. Solid shelves are better where spills must be contained.
Can the shelves be adjusted?
Yes. We make racks with adjustable shelves on slotted angles, so shelf heights can be changed as storage needs change.
Can we adjust the shelves as per our requirements?

Why do cleanroom cupboards have a sloped top?
A sloped or tapered top stops dust settling on a flat surface and stops people leaving items on top of the cupboard, where they would be hard to clean around.
Which locks are available on your cupboards?
Handle locks, cam locks and combination locks. Tell us who needs access and we will suggest the right one.
Does a UV cabinet sterilise items?
No. UV light reduces microbes on surfaces it reaches directly, but shadows, folds and dust block it. Items should be cleaned before they go in; UV is an extra step, not a replacement for cleaning or sterilisation.
How often should the UV lamp be replaced?
At the lamp's rated life. UV output falls over time even while the lamp still glows, so keep a log of lamp hours and replace it on schedule.
Do the shoe compartments lock?
Yes. Each shoe compartment has its own lock, so every user has a secure place for their footwear.
Can the cabinet be made for more users?
Yes. The number of hooks and shoe compartments, and the size of the cabinet, are made to suit your staff numbers and room.
Can I get a working table with drawers?
Yes. Our table with storage has three lockable drawers and open shelves under the top.
Can the table be made to my size?
Yes. Length, width and height are made to suit your room and the work done at the table.
Can the key box be mounted on a wall?
Yes. It has wall-mounting holes at the back, so it fixes flat to a wall near the area whose keys it holds.
Is a key box the same as a key cabinet?
Yes, the two names are used for the same thing: a lockable box or cabinet with hooks for keys. Larger units for many keys are more often called key cabinets.
How many keys can an SS key box hold?
As many as you need. The size of the box and the number of hooks are made to order, so tell us how many keys you hold now and how many you expect to add, and we will size the box with spare hooks.
Why is the door acrylic and not glass?
Acrylic is lighter than glass and does not shatter into sharp pieces if it is knocked, while staying clear enough to see the keys through the door.
How should keys be organised in a key box?
Number each hook and tag each key with the same number, keep a list of what each number opens, and record who takes a key and when it comes back. Group keys by area so they are quick to find.

What is the difference between a static and a dynamic pass box?
A static pass box has interlocked doors and a UV light and is used to transfer material between areas of the same cleanliness class. A dynamic pass box adds a blower with pre-filter and HEPA filter, so the chamber is flushed with Class 100 (ISO Class 5) air and can be used between areas of different classes.
What sizes do pass boxes come in?
Pass boxes are commonly made with internal chambers from about 450 × 450 × 450 mm to 900 × 900 × 900 mm. We build to the size you need, including three-door models, so tell us the largest item you transfer and your wall thickness.
Why is a UV light fitted in a pass box?
The UV lamp reduces the microbial load on the chamber surfaces and on the outside of the material while both doors are closed. It supports, but does not replace, wiping the material and chamber with an approved disinfectant.
Which tests are done on a dynamic pass box?
Typically an interlock check, HEPA filter integrity test through the PAO port, air velocity measurement and a particle count of the chamber. Our dynamic pass boxes include a PAO port and a magnehelic differential pressure gauge for these checks.
Do you provide customised size laminar air flow?
Yes, we are supplying customised size laminar air flow.
Do you provide mobile type laminar air flow?
Yes, we make mobile laminar air flow units mounted on castor wheels.
What is the difference between vertical and horizontal laminar air flow?
In a vertical unit the HEPA filter is above the work surface and air flows down onto it; in a horizontal unit the filter is at the back and air flows across the work surface towards the operator. Both give a Class 100 (ISO Class 5) work zone; the choice depends on the process and the space available.
What air velocity does a laminar air flow need?
Around 0.45 m/s at the work zone, typically within ±20%, gives a stable one-directional flow and Class 100 (ISO Class 5) air. Our units are specified at 0.45 m/s to 0.65 m/s.
Can a laminar air flow be used for infectious or hazardous material?
No. A laminar air flow protects the product only, and its air flows towards the operator. Use a bio safety cabinet for infectious material and a dispensing booth for powders that must be kept away from the operator.
How often should the HEPA filter of a laminar air flow be checked?
Check the gauge reading routinely, and test HEPA integrity (through the PAO port), air velocity and particle count at installation, after any filter change and at the interval set by your quality system.
Do you provide customised size RLAF?

What is a dispensing booth used for?
For weighing, sampling and dispensing raw materials and powders in pharmaceutical and biotech plants. The recirculating HEPA-filtered airflow keeps the work zone at Class 100 (ISO Class 5) and contains dust, protecting both the product and the operator.
What is the difference between a laminar air flow and a reverse laminar air flow?
A laminar air flow blows HEPA-filtered air over the work surface and out towards the operator, so it protects only the product. A reverse laminar air flow (dispensing booth) draws the air down and back into low return grilles, so dust is captured away from the operator: it protects both the product and the person.
What filters are used in your dispensing booths?
Three stages: a pre filter (10 micron), a fine filter (5 micron) and a HEPA filter (0.3 micron), with magnehelic gauges to show filter loading.
What size dispensing booth do I need?
It depends on your weighing balances, the size of drums or bags, whether a pallet or trolley enters the booth and how many operators work at once. We build each booth to your layout.
What is the difference between a bio safety cabinet and a laminar air flow?
A laminar air flow protects only the product. A bio safety cabinet protects the operator, the product and the environment: it recirculates 70% of the HEPA-filtered air and exhausts 30% through a HEPA exhaust filter, so it is used for work with micro-organisms and infectious material.
Can you make a bio safety cabinet in a custom size?
Yes. Design and dimensional customisation is available on request.
Which class of bio safety cabinet do I need?
Most microbiology, pharma QC, hospital and research labs use a Class II cabinet, which protects the operator, the sample and the environment. Class III sealed glove boxes are only needed for the highest-risk agents. Match the choice to your organisms and your lab's risk assessment.
How often should a bio safety cabinet be tested?
At installation, after it is moved or a filter is changed, and at least once a year: HEPA filter integrity (PAO), downflow and inflow velocity, and alarm and UV checks. Our cabinets have a PAO port for filter testing.
Can a bio safety cabinet be used with chemicals?
A recirculating cabinet is not suitable for volatile or toxic chemicals, because filtered air returns to the cabinet and the room. Use a fume hood or a ducted total-exhaust cabinet for chemical vapours.
How much dia of umbrella we can get into Umbrella type IR Dryer?
We have provided up to 1500mm dia of umbrella type IR Dryer.
What is the difference between umbrella and insertion type IR dryers?
An umbrella type dryer has a wide hood that sits over an open container and directs heat down onto it. An insertion type dryer has a heater that is lowered into the container to dry it from the inside. Umbrella types suit wide, open containers; insertion types suit deeper ones.
What can an IR dryer be used to dry?
It dries washed IPC bins, containers and vessels, and parts such as bowls, sieves and scoops, so they are dry before they go back into use or into storage.
What is difference between SS 304 and 316 grade steel?
SS 304 contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel whereas SS 316 contains 16% chromium, 10% nickel and 10% molybdenum. Containing molybdenum SS 316 has greater bearing resistance chemical attack than SS 304.
What volume can your SS stirrer mix?
Our industrial stirrer mixes batches from 5 to 120 litres, with stepless speed control from 0 to 2,800 rpm. Tell us your vessel sizes and product.
When should I choose a pneumatic stirrer?
Choose a pneumatic stirrer where flammable solvents are mixed and compressed air is available. It runs on air instead of an electric motor at the mixing head.
Which grade of stainless steel are you using in HEPA cabinet?
We are using 304 grade stainless steel and we also supplying in 316 grade stainless steel HEPA cabinet as per client requirements.
What is a HEPA cabinet used for?
It stores clean tools, machine change parts, small components and sampling accessories in HEPA-filtered air, with UV light to reduce microbes on exposed surfaces, so they stay clean until they are used.
Does the UV light replace cleaning the items?
No. UV reduces microbes only on surfaces it shines on directly, so items should be cleaned before they go into the cabinet. The HEPA air and UV light then help keep them clean while stored.
Do conveyor belt need much and expensive maintenance?
No, it depends on the conditions in which it is used, such as temperature and humidity. A few moving parts need less maintenance.
Which belt is better for a conveyor, PVC or PU?
PVC-coated belts are economical and suit most packing lines. PU belts resist oils and fats and are easier to clean, so they are often chosen for food products.
Can the conveyor speed be adjusted?
Yes. A VFD in the control panel sets the belt speed, so the conveyor can match the machines it feeds.
How many tablets can be inspected per shift?
Around 7 to 8 lakh tablets or capsules per shift, depending on the size and shape of the product and how closely it has to be checked.
Do I need change parts for different tablet sizes?
No. Different shapes and sizes of tablets and capsules can be inspected on the same belt without change parts; the speed is adjusted with the VFD.
What is the difference between a static and a dynamic garment cubicle?
Both store garments under HEPA-filtered air. The dynamic model adds a high-velocity airflow over the garments, a differential pressure gauge and UV light, for unpacked garments or where pressure needs to be monitored.
What is the difference between a garment cubicle and an SS HEPA cabinet?
A garment cubicle is made for storing cleanroom garments, aprons and gowning accessories in the gowning room. An SS HEPA cabinet stores tools, change parts and small components under HEPA air and UV light.
How long does an air shower cycle take?
A typical cycle runs for 10 to 30 seconds while the person turns slowly with arms raised. The time is set to suit your entry procedure; our air shower tunnel has a programmable shower cycle timer.
What is the difference between an air shower and an air shower tunnel?
An air shower is a single chamber for one or two people at a time. An air shower tunnel is longer, so several people, or people with trolleys and materials, can be showered as they pass through.
What is the difference between a mist shower and an air shower?
An air shower blows particles off garments at the entry to a clean area. A mist shower sprays a fine mist at the exit of a powder area so loose powder sticks to the garment and does not become airborne during degowning.
Where is a mist shower installed?
At the exit of an area where powders, especially potent or hazardous ones, are handled, just before the degowning room. It is built into the wall between the two rooms.
What is the difference between a fume hood and a bio safety cabinet?
A fume hood removes chemical fumes and vapours and exhausts them outside, protecting the operator. A bio safety cabinet uses HEPA-filtered air to protect the operator, the sample and the lab during work with biological material. Use a fume hood for chemicals and a bio safety cabinet for microorganisms.
Which material should I choose for a fume hood?
SS 304 suits most laboratories. SS 316 resists corrosive chemicals better, and powder-coated mild steel is an economical option where the chemicals used are not aggressive to it.
Does an air curtain keep insects out?
It helps a great deal. The fast air stream across the doorway pushes flying insects and dust back while the door is open. It works best when it covers the full width of the door and is matched to the mounting height.
Can an air curtain replace an air shower?
No. An air curtain reduces dust, insects and drafts at busy doorways. An air shower cleans people's garments with HEPA-filtered air jets at the entry to a cleanroom. They are used at different points on the way in.
When should I use a mobile HEPA trolley instead of a pass box?
A pass box moves small items through a wall between two neighbouring rooms. A mobile HEPA trolley carries larger loads, or items that have to travel along corridors, between floors or between buildings, under its own HEPA-filtered air.
What does the differential pressure gauge on a HEPA trolley show?
It shows the pressure across the HEPA filter. A steady reading means air is flowing through the filter as expected; a change tells you the filter or blower needs checking.
How is a vacuum steam sterilizer different from a gravity autoclave?
A gravity autoclave relies on steam pushing air out of the chamber, which leaves air trapped inside wrapped, porous or hollow items. A vacuum steam sterilizer removes the air with a vacuum pump first, so steam reaches those items, and dries the load with a vacuum at the end.
What can be sterilised in it?
Items that tolerate steam and heat, such as cleanroom garments, machine change parts, filling components, filters, tubing and glassware. Tell us what you sterilise and we will plan the chamber and loading trolleys around it.
What is the difference between a steam sterilizer and an autoclave?
They are the same kind of machine: an autoclave is a pressure chamber that sterilises with steam, and "steam sterilizer" is the more formal name. A vacuum steam sterilizer is an autoclave with a vacuum system that removes air before steam is let in.
Why do porous and wrapped loads need a vacuum cycle?
Air trapped inside packs, garments, filters and tubing blocks the steam, leaving cold spots that may not be sterilised. A vacuum cycle pulls that air out first, so steam reaches every surface, and dries the load at the end.
What is a Bowie-Dick test?
A daily check of a vacuum sterilizer's air removal. A test pack with a chemical indicator sheet is run in an empty chamber before the first load; an even colour change shows that steam reached the centre, and a patch of unchanged colour shows trapped air.

How much litres of water is drained in one minute?
It will depend on liquid type and sizes of drain traps. There are 3.5 litres/sec flow rate of water in 8” sq drain trap.
Why does a drain trap need a water seal?
The water standing in the trap blocks air, odour, insects and contamination from rising out of the drain line into the room. If the drain is rarely used, the water evaporates, so top it up regularly or close the drain with the sealing cap.
Can drain traps be used inside a cleanroom?
GMP guidance for sterile manufacturing says drains should not be installed in grade A and B areas. In lower-grade areas, drains should have traps or water seals that prevent backflow and should be cleaned and disinfected regularly.
What is the difference between 304 & 316 grade stainless steel?
SS 304 steel contains 18% chromium & 8% nickel whereas SS 316 steel contains 16% chromium, 10% nickel & 2% molybdenum. Containing molybdenum SS 316 steel has superior corrosion resistance and greater bearing resistance on chemical attack than SS 304 steel.
Do you provide drum trolley for containers along with it?
No, if required we can provide this but this will be charged.
What is the difference between a storage container and a pressure vessel?
A storage container holds material at normal pressure with a clamped lid. A pressure vessel is built with a bolted closure and stronger body so it can hold liquids under pressure or vacuum, for example to transfer them with compressed air or nitrogen.
What capacities do you make?
Storage containers start at 5 litres, and pressure vessels range from 5 litres up to 5,000 litres. Sizes are made to suit your batch.

What is the difference between an open type and a cylinder type scoop?
An open type scoop has a shallow bowl that is quick to fill and empty, so it suits dispensing and sampling. A cylinder type scoop has a deep round body that holds powder without spilling while it is carried.
Why are pharma scoops made in SS 316?
SS 316 resists chlorides, acids and strong cleaning agents better than SS 304, so the surface stays smooth and easy to clean after many washes, which reduces the risk of residue carrying over between materials.
What is a silicone moulded sieve?
It is a sifter screen whose wire mesh is held in a moulded silicone rim. The rim seals against the sifter, so material cannot bypass the mesh. We make them in 12, 14, 28 and 30 inch diameter.
Why should sieve integrity be checked?
A torn or damaged sieve lets oversize particles and foreign matter into the product. GMP practice is to check the sieve before and after each use, record it, and replace a damaged sieve at once.
What is a plate exposure stand used for?
It holds an open settle plate at a fixed height and position during passive air monitoring, so the same point is sampled each time and the plate is not disturbed. EU GMP Annex 1 allows 90 mm settle plates to be exposed for up to 4 hours.
How does the SS IPA bottle stand work?
The bottle sits in a wall-mounted SS 304 wire frame with its pump held by a clip. A lever arm presses the pump, so staff can dispense IPA with the arm or elbow without touching the bottle. A drip tray catches spills.
Why keep SOPs on a stand at the point of use?
GMP expects the current, approved instruction to be available where the work is done and old versions to be kept out of use. A stand at each point of use keeps the right document in view, protected and easy to replace when a new version is issued.
What size documents do your SOP stands hold?

What lengths do your samplers come in?

Why are samplers made in SS 316?
SS 316 resists chlorides, acids and strong cleaning agents better than SS 304, so the surfaces stay smooth and clean after repeated washing and do not add anything to the sample.
Are your hand dryers touch-free?
Yes. Our SS hand dryers use sensor-based operation, so hands are dried without touching the unit. The casing is SS 304 in a smooth matt finish and is wall mounted with tamper-resistant fixing.
Should I use hand dryers or paper towels?
Both can dry hands well when used properly. WHO guidance for health care prefers single-use towels, so hospitals should follow their infection-control policy; many plants choose sensor-operated dryers for change rooms and wash areas to avoid touching and paper waste.

Which wheels are best for a platform trolley?
Polyurethane wheels suit most cleanroom, epoxy and tiled floors because they roll quietly and do not mark the floor. Rubber wheels are softer and quieter, and nylon wheels roll easily under heavy loads on smooth concrete. We fit PU, rubber or nylon wheels to suit your floor and load.
Can you make a platform trolley to our size?
Yes. Deck size, handle height and the choice of side rails, double handles or a lidded box are all made to order. Tell us the largest load you move and the narrowest door or lift it has to pass through.
What is the difference between a multi-purpose trolley and a platform trolley?
A platform trolley has one flat deck for a single heavy or bulky load. A multi-purpose trolley has shelves and can add a cabinet, drawers or rail guards, so it suits mixed items that need to be organised and protected while they are moved.
Which wheels do your multi-purpose trolleys use?
Heavy-duty swivel castors with PU wheels, which roll smoothly and quietly on smooth floors. Other wheel types can be fitted on request.
What drum sizes do your drum trolleys fit?
We make drum and container trolleys for sizes from 5 litres to 250 litres. The ring is made to the diameter of your drum, so tell us the drum or container you use.
Is a drum trolley the same as a drum lifter?
No. A drum trolley moves an upright drum along the floor. A drum lifter and tilter grips the drum, lifts it and tilts it so its contents can be poured into another vessel.
Why are wooden pallets avoided in pharmaceutical plants?
Wood absorbs moisture, can harbour mould and bacteria, splinters and cannot be properly cleaned. Plants usually keep wooden pallets in the warehouse and move goods onto stainless steel or plastic pallets before they go further.
Can your SS pallets be used with a forklift or pallet truck?
Yes. Our SS pallets are designed to be used with forklifts and pallet jacks. Tell us the equipment you use so the fork openings suit it.
How does a hydraulic pallet truck lift a pallet?
Pumping the handle drives oil into a hydraulic cylinder, which raises the forks and lifts the pallet just clear of the floor. A release lever on the handle lets the oil flow back to lower the forks.
What is a high-lift pallet truck?
It is a pallet truck with a scissor mechanism under the forks that raises the pallet to a comfortable working height, so staff can load or unload it without bending down to the floor. Ours is made in powder-coated mild steel.
What details do you need to quote a drum lifter and tilter?
The drum diameter and material, its full weight, the height of the inlet you pour into, whether you empty it fully or partly, how many drums you handle per shift, and whether you need SS 304 or mild steel.
Is the drum lifter and tilter available in mild steel?
Yes. We make it in SS 304 with a matt finish for clean areas, and in mild steel for general industrial and outdoor use.
How does a scissor lift table work?
A hydraulic cylinder pushes a set of crossed steel arms apart to raise the platform. A valve holds the oil in the cylinder so the platform stays at height, and opening the lowering valve lets it come down at a controlled rate.
Why use a scissor lift instead of lifting by hand?
It brings the load to a comfortable working height, so staff can slide or transfer it instead of bending, reaching and lifting, which are the main causes of manual handling injuries.
What is the difference between a cylinder trolley and a vessel trolley?
A cylinder trolley holds a tall gas cylinder upright, with a guard ring and a tall push handle. A vessel trolley is an open ring frame on four castors that carries a round vessel or container.
Do you make cylinder trolleys in mild steel?
Yes. We make them in SS 304 or SS 316, and in mild steel with a powder-coated finish for gas stores, yards and other areas where stainless steel is not needed.
What is the difference between an open and a closed cage trolley?
An open cage trolley has mesh sides and an open top, so items can be loaded and taken out quickly. A closed and lockable cage trolley is fully enclosed with lockable doors, so the contents stay secure while they are stored or moved.
Can a cage trolley be used for hospital linen?
Yes. Our laundry linen cage trolley is made for collecting and moving linen and garments. Use separate trolleys for clean and used linen, cover the linen, and wash and dry the trolley regularly, as hospital linen guidance recommends.
Why use perforated shelves instead of solid shelves?
Perforated shelves let water drain through and air move around the load, so washed items dry faster and do not stand in water. Solid shelves trap water and slow drying.
Can you make a perforated trolley to our size?
Yes. We make a heavy-duty large-capacity design and a compact design, and both can be built to your size, number of shelves and shelf spacing. Tell us what goes on the trolley and the route it travels.
What is a pan trolley used for?
A pan trolley holds pans or trays one above the other on runners, so a whole stack can be moved at once: from preparation to a dryer, oven, cold room or store, and back to the wash area.
Can the pan trolley be made to fit our trays?
Yes. Designs and dimensions are customised on request. Tell us the size of your pans or trays, how many move together and the gap needed between them, and we will design the runners to suit.
