SS Dustbin

Waste bins are touched many times a day by many people, and what goes into them can be infectious, chemical or simply dirty. A bin that is hard to clean, rusts at the seams or has to be opened by hand quickly becomes a source of contamination. A stainless steel bin solves most of that: it is non-porous, does not rust, and can be washed and disinfected as often as the area needs.

The lid matters as much as the body. A foot pedal lets staff open the bin without using their hands, which is why pedal bins are standard in hospitals, labs and clean areas. A swing lid closes by itself after each use. Bins that need to move from room to room are mounted on castor wheels, and bins that should stay out of sight can sit inside a cabinet with a door.

In Indian hospitals and healthcare facilities, the Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 require waste to be segregated at the point where it is generated, into colour-coded categories: yellow, red, white (translucent) and blue. A stainless steel bin can be fitted with liners or labels in the right colour for each category. Tell us which categories you need and how many points, so the bins are planned for each location.

Our SS dustbins are made in SS 304 with a matt or mirror finish. The range includes pedal dustbins with a hinged lid and foot pedal, swing dustbins, mobile dustbins on 360-degree swivel castors, perforated dustbins on a floor-mounted stand, waste bins with a cabinet, and waste bin trolleys in 80 litre and 120 litre sizes. Square sizes are also available, and dimensions can be customised on request.

Place bins where waste is generated, not where it is convenient for collection. In a cleanroom change room, a pedal bin at the exit takes used gloves and masks; in a process area, a mobile bin follows the line; in a corridor, a waste bin trolley collects from each room.
