SS Racks

Storage racks keep materials, components, packing material and tools off the floor and organised. They also make stock easy to see and count, which keeps stores tidy and reduces mix-ups between items. In clean areas they also have to fit the way the room is cleaned and ventilated, so the material and the shelf design matter as much as the size.

Stainless steel racks stand up to daily wiping with disinfectants without rusting or shedding paint. Open frames and perforated shelves let filtered air from the ceiling pass down through the rack rather than being blocked by solid shelves, and let dust fall through instead of collecting. Keeping the lowest shelf clear of the floor means the floor underneath can be mopped properly, and adjustable shelves let one rack adapt as what is stored changes.

Our racks are built in SS 304 or SS 316 in a matt or mirror finish, or in powder-coated mild steel. They come with adjustable shelves on slotted angles, perforated shelves, railing on the top shelf, support rails in each compartment and wheels for movement. The standard storage rack has five shelves with adjustable heights, and sizes are made to suit your room.

How the racks are arranged matters as much as how they are built. Keep heavy and frequently used items on the middle shelves at waist height and light items on top, store nothing directly on the floor, leave aisles wide enough for trolleys, and label shelves so that quarantined, approved and rejected material stay clearly apart.
