Neelansh Equipments & Machines manufactures SS 304 key boxes (key cabinets) for pharmaceutical plants, laboratories, hospitals and offices. The box has rows of key hooks inside, a transparent acrylic door on stainless steel hinges, a cylinder lock with two keys, and wall-mounting holes at the back.

What is an SS key box and why use one?
An SS key box, also called a key cabinet, is a lockable stainless steel cabinet with rows of hooks inside, used to keep the keys for rooms, equipment, cabinets and stores in one controlled place. Each key hangs on its own hook, so anyone checking the box can see at a glance which keys are in and which are out.
Keys go missing when they live in drawers, pockets and on nails by the door. A key box gives every key a fixed home, close to where it is needed, and only the person who holds the box key can open it. In factories, labs and hospitals that means fewer lost keys, fewer locks to change and less time spent looking for the key to a store room or a machine panel.
Our SS key box is made of SS 304 in a matt or mirror finish. The door has a transparent acrylic panel, so the keys can be checked without opening it, and closes with a cylinder lock supplied with two keys. The door hangs on stainless steel hinges, and the back has wall-mounting holes, so the box fixes flat to a wall near the area whose keys it holds.
Stainless steel suits places where painted metal or wooden key boxes do not: it is easy to wipe down, resists rust and corrosion, and does not chip, so it can hang in production areas, cleanroom corridors, labs and washing areas. Size and number of hooks are made to order.

Is a key box the same as a key cabinet?
Yes, the two names are used for the same thing: a lockable box or cabinet with hooks for keys. Larger units for many keys are more often called key cabinets.
How many keys can an SS key box hold?
As many as you need. The size of the box and the number of hooks are made to order, so tell us how many keys you hold now and how many you expect to add, and we will size the box with spare hooks.
Why is the door acrylic and not glass?
Acrylic is lighter than glass and does not shatter into sharp pieces if it is knocked, while staying clear enough to see the keys through the door.
How should keys be organised in a key box?
Number each hook and tag each key with the same number, keep a list of what each number opens, and record who takes a key and when it comes back. Group keys by area so they are quick to find.
